FAQ
The questions we get.
What if the founder doesn't want to collaborate?
It happens, and it's the biggest risk in any handover. That's why we agree the founder's time at kickoff and link it to the transition plan or earn-out.
We also keep the effort small: about 15 minutes a day, mostly voice notes. Most founders start to engage when they see their own answers coming back, usually in the first week.
What if the founder leaves earlier than planned?
The earlier we start, the more is captured. Everything learned up to that day stays, and the team keeps adding to it after the founder leaves.
If someone leaves in less than six months, we'll tell you honestly how much we can expect to capture.
Who owns the knowledge?
The company does. It's an asset of the business and goes with it if you sell. You can export it at any time, and we delete it when the contract ends.
Is this a chatbot on our documents?
No. Most of what matters isn't in documents. It learns from real calls, chats and cases, asks the founder about what's missing and shows you coverage area by area.
How long until it's useful?
The founder sees the first answers on day three. The fund gets a baseline report after two weeks. Coverage then grows every week.
Does it replace the founder's consulting period?
It shortens it. Some things only a person can do, like introducing the new CEO to key customers. What it removes is the daily dependency on the founder for answers.
Which tools does it connect to?
Email, WhatsApp, call recordings, Slack, shared drives, spreadsheets, CRMs and ERPs. If the founder works with it, we look at connecting it during setup.
What does it cost?
A setup fee and a monthly fee per company, with better terms for portfolios. Model usage is billed at cost. Book a call and we will send you a quote.
Who is behind it?
Grab the Baton is built by Stackbone, a company that runs AI agents in production for businesses. The team works from Madrid and Montreal.
